Peter Langsdale

Peter has been observing aircraft since 1950, when he lived at RAF Waddington. He followed his father into the Royal Air Force and served for 17 years as a radar technician. The latter part of his service was spent writing reoair instructions for radar sets, so it was natural to become a civilian technical author. A memorable job was with BAC writing Pilot's Notes for the Tornado navigation system. He moved to Sweden in 1979 and is now a full-time technical translator from Swedish to English, acting as a guide in the Gothenburg Aeroseum in his spare time. As a member of BAES he frequently joins fellow members on trips to aircraft museums in Europe and the USA.
