AviaBellanca Aircraft

The AviaBellanca Aircraft Corporation is an American aircraft design and manufacturing company, a successor of the Bellanca Aircraft Company which existed until 1983. Giuseppe Mario Bellanca designed and built Italy’s first aircraft, moved to the USA in 1911 and after designing aircraft for other companies founded the Bellanca Aircraft Corporation of America in 1927 in New York State, soon moving it to Delaware. Several Bellanca aircraft set world record endurance and distance flights. He sold the company in 1954 and this was the beginning of a succession of companies that maintained the lineage, including Inter-Air. AviaBellanca is now based in Maryland.
