BAC
British Aircraft Corporation Ltd. was formed in 1960 after the British Government demanded that Bristol, English Electric and Vickers be merged to produce the TSR.2 attack bomber aircraft. Although the TSR.2 was cancelled in 1965, BAC produced several successful civil transport and military aircraft before it was merged into British Aerospace (BAe) by the nationalization of the UK aerospace industry in 1977.
