Bombardier
Bombardier is a Canadian Montreal-based industrial empire, which moved into aerospace by acquiring Canadair in 1986, then Shorts in 1989, Learjet in 1990 and de Havilland Inc. in 1992. That year, Bombardier Aerospace North America was formed to oversee Canadair, de Havilland and Learjet. It manufactures the CRJ regional airliners, amphibious water bombers and the Global Express and Challenger business jets. Learjet production continues under its own name. Bombardier Aerospace headquarters is at Dorval, Quebec.
