The Champion Aircraft Corporation was formed at Osceola, Wisconsin to build the Model 7 Champion 2-seat aircraft, the rights having been purchased from Aeronca in 1954. This led to production of many other general aviation aircraft including the Traveler and Citabria. The assets were acquired in 1970 by Inter-Air (see Bellanca).
