The Embraer E-Jets are a series of narrow-body, twin-engine, medium-range, jet airliners produced in Brazil. Announced at the Paris Air Show in 1999, and entering production in 2002, the aircraft have been a success: As of December 31, 2008, there are 876 firm orders for E-Jets and 810 options.The manufacturer reported that 600 units had been delivered by September 1, 2009, and predicted that by the end of 2016, another 1,112 units would be delivered.
