Reports are coming in of a fatal Spitfire crash at Tynset, Norway, today, 21 August 2010. I believe it was this aircraft, and the pilot was probably Bertil Gerhard, who was in his 70s and very experienced.
It is said to have veered off the runway, gone into a cornfield and overturned.
RIP, a sad loss to the Scandinavian historic aircraft community.

Now confirmed that it was Bertil and Spitfire SM845, owned by Swedish company Biltema.
