P2V Neptune slurry bomber crash

June 28 in Broomfield, Colorado this slurry bomber had made a run over the fire in the Rocky Mountain National Park and declared an emergency on his return to the airport. Lost hydraulics. Without brakes the pilot touched down and rather than taking out a major highway and possibly injuring others by going off the end of the runway, he decided to go off the main runway, west of the slurry base, through a fence, across a road, and down this embankment, and everyone walked away without a scratch.

Great photo Klaus, and a lucky ending too.

Hell of a picture, bet you thought you'd never get one like this, glad everyone walked away, very lucky.
