Antonov An-2T D-FOJB taxying out at SävePhotographed on 14 August 2010 during an An-2 meeting, with six different aircraft visiting.
This aircraft, c/n 1G86-42 belongs to the "Osthüringischer Fallschirmsportsclub e.V. Gera"( a sport parachuting club). The part of the fuselage behind the door has a rubberized protective coating, as apparently the parachutists thump against this area as they depart the aircraft. They can also hang on to the rail above the door before jumping off.
I had the honour and pleasure of taking the pilots and passengers of these six An-2s (about 50 people) on a tour around the Aeroseum, our underground aviation museum located on a bunker at the edge of Säve, or Gothenburg City airport as it is known today.
