picture #4074 for background details of this aircraft type.
The aircraft seen here was assembled from parts belonging to two different aircraft, which had been retired from the Swedish Air Force and sold to Austria in 1961.
A total of 20 Storches had been purchased before and during WW2, and as late as 1948 another 6 were brought into service. These had force landed in Sweden during the war and carried the designation Fi-156C-3/Trop (tropical) and were otiginally intended for use by the Luftwaffe in North Africa. They were later stationed at F 11 Wing, Nyköping.
