Sadly, this may be the last airborne picture we shall see of XH558, after the disastrous mistake that ruined two of her engines, by ingesting bags of silicon dessicant.

Bit of negative comment considering they've already fitted 2 replacement engines (one of which is zero-hour) and are undergoing engine tests this week.

Thanks for that, Simon, I haven't been able to keep up with the latest developments, I've been travelling all over Scandinavia!
However, I still think it must have been an avoidable mistake, which at the least was very expensive!

Actually had her 1st engine runs yesterday, and TVOC are still aiming for RIAT in 10 days time for her 1st appearance this year.
The bags of silicon dessicant simply weren't removed from the engines before the test flight, I'm sure the person involved got a dressing down, cost of replacement, plus missing Yeovilton and Waddington will not help financial matters at all.
