Royal Navy Historic Flight aircraft '906' photographed in the RNHF hangar at RNAS Yeovilton (HMS Heron) on 20 April 2013.
Built by de Havilland at Chester, initially serving with the RAF but went to the Royal Navy Britannia Flight at Roborough in June 1966. Stayed there until the Chipmunks were retired from service in 1983 and was transferred to Yeovilton in July of that year, becoming the last flying example in Royal Navy service.
This aircraft is used for continuation training of the RNHF pilots and to provide them with tailwheel aircraft practice.
