RNLAF ChinookThe 298 Squadron of the RNLAF flies with this Chinook CH-47D. They have 13 of tese helicopters. It's a big transport helicopter. It can not only tranport things inside, but can also hook up jeeps and weapons under the chopper.
In 1993 the government of the Netherlands bought 7 of these Chinooks from the Canadian's. Later the government bought 6 new ones. The second hand choppers were modernised.

I love Chinooks, and I'm very lucky to hear them fly over us at work very low up in the Lake District.
