Comments:
My dad (Paul Shifflett) owned this plane with 2 other partners in the mid-50's. I flew in it often. They kept it at Hyde Field in Clinton, MD, hanger 21. I was young (born in '52) and don't remember interior details other than the trim adjustment crank and red seats. The paint was different: the plane was red with a white accent that was broad at the front and tapered towards the rear on each side. They sold it in Dec '57 in order to buy a Bonanza. I'd like to chat with the current owner sometime.

Dana,
I kinda thought by the FAA report online that the plane was totalled. Run the N-number on the FAA website to find who the last owner was. IIRC, he lived around Blue Ridge, GA.

Also known as the Bellanca Cruisair Senior, introduced in 1946 and nicknamed "the cardboard Constellation" due to the endplates on the tailplane. In production until 1956. Carried a pilot and up to 3 passengers.
