Antonov An-124

Ukranians in Canada.

Ukranian heritage is big in Alberta, one of Canada's provinces in the West of the country.
And once in a while this powerful plane from Ukraine is visiting the spot these days, as if trying to keep up with the tradition.

Nope,

Airbus is a European consortium, Anatov is a Russian aircraft. Have a look at
picture #225 for the Airbus A380.

Hi, folks,

Antonov is a big plane indeed. Its appearance here in Canada always steers a good deal of attention. There are two operators in Russia: 'Volga-Dnepr' (I've got some pictures of Volga-Dnepr's Ruslans too) and 'Polyet', that have those planes, and also, the Ukranian 'Antonov Design Buerau' does too.

A few of my buddies from 'previous life' (in the USSR:) still works for Volga-Dnepr. I remember a story from one of them when they got a contract to haul all the gear and equipment for Michael Jackson around-the-world concert tour. That was fun!

Pictured here Antonov is heading to Cold Lake, AB. Not a long ride for the bird of her kind!

Nice to talk to everybody,

Sergei

Antonov could easily put seats into this aircraft and the A380 would look somewhat pale.

The Antonov AN-225 Cossack is the largest cargo bird in the world I believe.
