Morane Saulnier MS-138 F-AZAJ at La Ferte AlaisPhotographed on 14 May 2005.
C/n 43. The Morane Saulnier 138 is a 2-seat high-wing parasol monoplane which was designed in 1921. It is fitted with a 80hp le Rhône rotary engine.
This lack of power is made up by the excellent efficiency of the propeller which spins quite slowly (800rpm).
The aircraft shown flying here was restored around the genuine structure, which was recovered in 1967 in Brioude.
