Antonov An-2TD HA-ANS

The biggest single-engine biplane, and probably one of the most safe aircrafts ever. More than 130 flew/fly in Hungary, and I hope some "Annas" will fly even 20-30 years later.

The Anatov An-2 proved a popular aircraft with reportedly over 18, 000 built (most of them by PZL Mielec in Poland). Its antiquated looks did not bother the designers since they achieved their goal, which was an aircraft that had superb short take-off and landing properties for use by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. HThe Soviet airforce found however used it too for paratrooper transport and training craft.
