The Fieseler 156 was a small German Short Take-off and Landing liaison aircraft. It had its first flight in 1936 and went into production in 1937. Between 1937 and 1949 about 2,900 of these Storks were built, obviously most of them for the German Luftwaffe, over several locations in Europe. Switzerland was amongst a dozen or so other operators besides the Luftwaffe.
