Folland Gnat F.1 XK724 at Cosford

Photographed at the RAF Cosford Museum on 5 February 2004.
Built as a development aircraft, the first of 6 aircraft ordered by the Ministry of Supply, serial XK724, first flight 26 May 1956.
Served as a support and development aircraft, making 562 take offs and landings and some 231 flying hours by the time of the last flight on 15th March 1960.
Served as an instructional airframe at RAF Henlow, then transported to the RAF Museum at Cosford on 10th December 1985.
