Fairey Delta FD2

This is the aircraft that Edward Twiss (think that was his name) broke the world air speed record in. It was also used to test design features that eventually ended up in Concorde, such as the "droop snoot" nose! This is at RAF Cosford.

There are two FD.2s, the other one, that was used to test the Concorde's ogival wing, is at Yeovilton.
